New England Sci-Tech is pleased to offer a FREE Ham Radio Open House on certain dates for up to an hour. Visit our radio room to see a variety of radios and electronic equipment, make your first long-distance radio contact, and learn what to do to participate in this fun life-long hobby.

 

Amateur Radio is a hobby enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.  Learn about radios, antennas, atmospheric transmission.  Talk to people from all over the world.  During this introduction, we'll demonstrate some state-of-the-art radio equipment and explain how you and your family can get involved.  Geared toward adults, as well as junior high, high school, and home school students.

 

Included with the introductory class: study guides and charts, free access to our weekly Online Radio Shop Talk sessions, FREE enrollment in any of our Morse Code classes, and a guest pass to the NEAR/STARS radio club meetings for 1 month.

 

Once you have been through the introduction, you may want sign up for a full course taught by a 40-yr veteran teacher. You will learn so much more in the courses than just watching videos or memorizing the test questions.

We administer ham radio exams both online and in-person, having proctored nearly 2,000 exams over the past decade. We’ve taught amateur radio classes for over 15 years with tremendous success. Hundreds of people have taken our classes with 99% having passed the exam to become licensed operators. We offer classes for all three levels of ham radio licenses: Technician, General, Amateur Extra, as well as Morse Code.
