A specialized activity of NE SciTech's Rocketeers Club, specifically for students ages 11-17, we join a program by the National Association of Rocketry (ARC) to teach students about the atmosphere, rocketry, general laws of physics, radio communications, and space science. Students work in a team of up to 10 to design and build a rocket that meets the challenge set in the rules.

After the flight they will evaluate their rocket(s) and give a report at a conference in Marlborough in August.

Students will be expected to achieve an Amateur Radio License (beginner level) during this program. We plan to integrate wireless technology lessons into American Rocketry Challenge, although students may study on their own or take one of the Friday afternoon or Sunday evening Technician License workshops for free. (and parents are free)

For more information about the class, please visit American Rocketry Challenge (ARC) here.
