2023-2024 School Break / Early Release Workshops

For students in grades 4 through 9, workshops on Early Release Days and School Holidays are fun and educational enrichment activities that are similar to the After School Workshops but are occasional as school schedule allows. 2024 sessions run mornings 9:30-12:00 and afternoons 12:30-3:00 pm. Early drop-off and late pickup can be arranged. Parents, please call ahead before signing up an individual student. We want to recruit a group of 4 to 8 students for an optimally sized program. “Drop-in” registrations without calling ahead MAY NOT be accepted if group size is not met.

Early Release Day Workshops Details

+ Although workshops are structured instructional time, we recognize that some students need frequent breaks or change of pace, so students are welcome to switch in and out of structured activities as they wish. Students arriving earlier or staying later will have unstructured time to socialize, work on projects, play games, watch educational science videos, or just chill out.

+ We have a variety of project kits and materials available so students have choices. One average size project or kit per daily session is built into the price of the workshop. Larger or advanced kits or projects that consume more than average material will be billed at cost. This might include extra wood, electronics kits, jewelry supplies, and over-size 3D print objects, for example.

+ We will try to accommodate parents’ commuting and work schedules for early drop-offs and late pickups. If you need that extra time, please understand that it will be unstructured activity time (as explained above).

Note: We will try to accommodate all requests without exceeding safe staff to student ratios, but in case of over subscription to any session, priority will be given to members.

Please be aware of our Cancellation and Refund Policies. For questions, e-mail info@nescitech.org or call 508-720-4179.

In addition to registering for this workshop, please fill out the Workshop Student Permissions Form.
