Students will learn how to solder electronic circuits and build an FM radio receiver to keep.
For many students, ham radio is a gateway into STEM careers such as Electrical Engineering, Space Exploration (many NASA astronauts are licensed amateur radio operators!), Emergency Management, Radio Systems Specialist, Aerospace Engineering, Medical Fields such as X-ray/MRI technicians.

Join us for a fun-filled Halloween themed party and game night for all New England Sci-Tech members and their families. This event is available for all member types! We encourage people to wear costumes and bring a carved Jack-O-Lantern for voting, but not required.

Learn how to solder electronics to make cool gadgets such as snowflake ornament, FM radio, crystal nightlight, spinning top, and more. Kit is included in the workshop price.

Bring your group or "pod" to a workshop at NEST. Let us offer a 2-hour enrichment program geared to your group‘s interests.
Hands-on workshop all about the nature of chocolate with Norman Wittels at New England Sci-Tech. Activities are geared toward ADULTS, but children 4th to 12th grade may join with a parent participating with their student.
The workshop is intended to be experienced in a 3-session sequence, as the later concepts build upon previous experiences.
