Hosted by the New England Weather Balloon Society, this workshop teaches students about high altitude balloons, electronics, coding, and the scientific process. Students will design their own science experiments and build their own electronic instruments using microcontrollers, sensors, and code that they write themselves. Students will learn to thoroughly test their instruments and integrate their systems together. In the Summer, the students can join in the excitement of launch day, helping to prepare, launch, track, case, and recover the high altitude balloon and payload. After recovery, students will be encouraged to plot and analyze their data and present their projects at the annual HamXposition convention in Marlborough. Be sure to check the Discord and GroupsIO channels for the latest information about meetings, workshops, and launch date.
